Simple Woman's Daybook ~ October 6

To learn more about Simple Woman's Daybook, you can go to this blog: ~The Simple Woman~

For Today...

Outside my Window...it is still very dark. I can hear cars coming and going and a train in the distance.

I am thinking...that God is good and that He always does what he promises.

From the learning rooms...there are papers to grade and projects to be started. I am especially looking forward to some fall craft ideas I have had.

I am thankful for...my church family. I am thankful for our church that just celebrated it's 2 year anniversary! I am thankful to my friend Desiree that is always willing to go out of her way and lend a hand. I love that I can laugh hard with her and I can be serious with her. I can just be myself.

From the kitchen...white Peruvian beans are soaking so that they will soften up before I cook them to a rich buttery consistency. We will use these beans as a side dish, filling for burritos and even by itself with some lemon, cilantro and Tapatio on it. Frijoles de la olla!

I am wearing...my pajamas, robe, and cozy socks. It's only 5 a.m. afterall! =]

I am reading...a new issue of Scrapbooks etc. magazine. I have just finished reading several books and am trying to decide which one will be next on my list. Right now, I am happy to skim the great ideas in this magazine during my little snippets of time.

I am hoping...to get organized and sell several things on ebay and Craigslist during the next two weeks.

I am creating...23+ goody bag items for a scrapbook retreat that's coming up and around 200 wedding favors...lots to be done!

I am hearing...a train in the background, cars passing slowly through our housing and some praise music coming from my computer.

Around the house...is the smell of my pumpkin spice candles, shoes and books from the weekend that need to be put away, a kitchen that needs to be tidied up and laundry waiting to be done.

One of my favorite things...is waking up to a crisp, cool feeling in the air after sleeping with the windows open for the first time in a long time. Nights are cooler, yet I hear we will be getting some 3 digit temperatures again during the week. *sigh*

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...complete my craft projects for upcoming events, register for the Scrapbook Expo, prepare for a bridal shower and Quince celebration at the church this weekend, make plans for my Hannah's birthday...

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...
This is how I found them during one of their naps just recently. Little Marco flips around quite a bit. Naomi is in for a quite a surprise when she wakes up. LOL

this is such a special picture. Cute babies.

I like the idea of the soaking beans. I start thinking about that at this time of year. I'm planning on White Chicken Chili this weekend with Cheddar/Beer bread. I'm also thinking of an apple pie for the next weekend when I'm expecting guest. All very simple country, Fall pleasures.

I enjoyed your daybook. I have things I need to get on eBay, too - and quickly!

Cute pic! I hope you have a nice weekend.
