Photo tag and I'm it!...

Okay. I've seen this on some random blogs I read and I've just been tagged by my friend, Cyn. You are supposed to go to your 6th file, 6th photo on your computer and then post that picture and tell something about it.
So, here is mine.

I had to look at the photo's details to find the date - it says April of 2007 - but this was taken in Arizona and it is my youngest sister Deborah with Hannah, Taryn, and Naomi along with my brother's children Allexia, Lucas and brand new baby Logan.
It was cool to look at this file, because I forgot how little and adorable they all were! So cute!

Tagged for Christmas!

********SEEING RED EVERYWHERE*************
The lovely Lea, of Shabby Olde Potting Shed, tagged me for this cute Christmas meme. Please visit her blog and get to know her if you haven't already. She has such a heart for God and from the minute you start reading her, ya love her 'cause she's sooo down to earth and GENUINE! She's alot of fun! Thanks for tagging me along Lea!

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?
I like them both - but I will take the chocolate over egg nog anytime!
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
Wrapped!
3. Colored light on house/tree or white?
White on the tree, none outside yet. =[ I would LOVE to get some of those old fashioned colored ones from way back in the day! Kind of like these:

4. Do you hang mistletoe?
I have a plastic one that is connected to a giant jingle bell...you can see it in one of the pics in an older post below.
5. When do you put your decorations up?
I like to start right after Thanksgiving, but this year it was a few days after when I started.
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?
Probably the turkey or ham.
7. Favorite holiday memory as a child?
It was when we just moved to Fort Carson, Colorado. None of our Christmas decorations (or furniture) was there yet so we cut down our own tree and made all of the ornaments. I can still remember the pine cones that we found, glued and glittered. We also cut up some Coca Cola cans and made twisted ornaments (dad's idea), strung cranberry and popcorn...it was the best year ever.
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
What truth? What do you mean? My dad always said that if you don't believe in Santa, there's no reason for there to be a gift from him under the tree or anything in the stockings...so, what was it you were asking? Hmmm? =]
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
We have at my mother-in-law's, but we usually don't.
10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
It's lit up with white lights and we have gold ribbon wrapped around it and then we have ornaments from all of our years - since our first year of marriage. We exchange an ornament each year and try to get each of the kids one too.
11. Snow. Love it or dread it?
Love it if we're dressed up for it and can enjoy it!
12. Can you ice skate?
Kind of. I am really good at getting started and then going around and around really fast. LOL Stopping? Well, that's another subject!
13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
I think my favorite childhood gift was a stereo or something like that, but my favorite Christmas gift ever? Hmmm...I don't think I have one favorite...
14. What is the most important thing about the holidays for you?
That Jesus came to earth to save us from our sins.
15. What is your favorite holiday dessert?
My Grandma's cookies - all of them!
16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Probably reading 'Twas the Night Before Christmas on Christmas Eve and then having Marco read the Christmas Story from the Bible and praying together as a family before we open the gifts on Christmas morning.
17. What tops your Christmas tree?
A gold star
18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving?
GIVING!
19. What is your favorite Christmas song?
O Holy Night
20. Candy Canes. Yum or Yuck?
Yum! I like the flavored ones they have these days too!
21. What do you want for Christmas?
I honestly can not think of any "material" thing that I really want for myself. For my home? Maybe. For my children? Definitely For my church? Lots of needs there...but for me? A happy, healthy family that is together.
22. Do you attend an annual Christmas party?
Just the ones we have at church.
23. Do you dress up for Christmas Eve or wear PJ's?
We open gifts in our PJ's and usually are in a "dressy casual" for Christmas dinner.
24. Do you own a Santa hat?
Oh, yes!
25. Who do you normally spend Christmas with?
Marco, the kids and sometimes we are with my side of the family and sometimes we are with his side of the family. This year, I am going to be blessed to have my dear grandmother with us!

Now, I'm supposed to tag five others.

Husband Spotlight!

I've been tagged by Lee ... keep reading to see if YOU have been tagged!

So here we go...

What is his name? Marco, Daddy, or Pastor

How long have you been married? It will be 15 years this month!

How long did you date? Almost 4 years

How old is he? Almost 38!

Who eats more? He does, but unfortunately, I can usually keep up if I had to. LOL

Who said I love you first? He did. It kind of slipped out, but then he stuck with it. =]

Who is taller? He is.

Who sings better? That would probably be me, but he's not bad either. I like singing WITH him when he is serious.

Who's temper is worse? Mine. Move along...

Who does the laundry? Me usually, but he knows how and will when he needs something right away. =D

Who pays the bills? He makes the money, I write the checks. Ha!

Who cooks dinner? That would be me...or Hannah. She is awesome in the kitchen!

Who mows the lawn? Hmmm...we had a lawn guy, but I don't think that happens anymore. He does when it gets out of control and he can find the time.

Who wears the pants in the family? Let's just say that he is in charge. Of course, there are some things that he will gladly leave in my hands like the school work, the house stuff.... he will totally get involved if we need him to, but otherwise - he has enough on his plate.

OK, so I need to tag someone ... I think everyone has had this on their blog already! LOL I tag...Esther, Rachel and Desiree! Now go!

Husband Tag~~~

I have been tagged by my dear friend Carrie! **waving**

I've been tagged with Husband Tag... keep reading to see if YOU have been tagged!

So here we go...

What is his name? MARCO

How long have you been married? It will be 15 years this August!

How long did you date? We started dating during our 2nd semester of college - about 4 years.

How old is he? One month younger than me!

Who eats more? He does.

Who said I love you first? He did.

Who is taller? He is definitely.

Who sings better? We both sing, but I sing more often. =]

Who's temper is worse? Me. Hands down. He is the Gentle Giant (((Hugs)))

Who does the laundry? Mostly me. Sometimes he will do it in a pinch.

Who does the dishes? Usually my oldest dd, but sometimes I do it and sometimes he does.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed (when you are facing it)? He does

Who pays the bills? Me. I just started doing this!

Who cooks dinner? Usually, I do.

Who drives when you are together? He does! He has only had me drive if he is extremely exhausted (on road trips)

Who has more friends? Me for sure. I'm an extreme extrovert. And while he's an amazing preacher and teacher, he is an introvert on the more personal level. (Carrie - they'd get along perfectly!!)

Who has more siblings? I do! He has 1 sister and 1 brother while I have 3 sisters and 1 brother.

Who wears the pants in the family? He is definitely the leader of the home. That being said, he has never tried or needed to act like he is "in charge". We make decisions together.

Ok, I'm tagging... Esther, Lee, and Desiree!
